Hi, I am leaving my room at the beginning of April, so we're looking for someone new to take over! I am moving in with my partner, but have really enjoyed living here and you'll share the house with great housemates.
The room is a spacious but cosy double, on the top floor of the house. There is space for a double bed, desk, a chest of drawers and wardrobe. Please note the room is not furnished, but some furniture could be gifted/sold from the housemate that is leaving.
Bills and council tax are not included in the rent, but are around £100 pcm on average. Council tax is £38 per person, gas and electric is between £20 (summer) and £40 (winter) per person.
You would be sharing the 1 and ½ bathrooms between 4 housemates, as one housemate has an en-suite. The house has its own garden, bike storage and access to communal gardens.
Location wise, the house is in New Hinksey (South Oxford), is very well connected to the city centre and to the train station. It is less than a 5 min to the bus stop (services X1, X2, X3, X15, X32, 35 etc). The house is part of a quiet cul-de-sac with a large, well maintained communal gardens, which is great for picnics! The house is also very close to Iffley Meadows and there is a Tesco right around the corner, which is very handy. There is also a free parking space is available for the new tenant, with no permit charge.
We are a social and friendly house, but also enjoy having our own space. There is a open plan kitchen/living room. We enjoy occasionally going out to watch a movie or having dinner together and chatting while we cook. The housemates who are staying are all professionals in their late 20's/30s and enjoy art, painting, music, volleyball and climbing. There is currently 3 females and 1 male. We are looking for someone friendly to keep the good vibes of the house.
Pets can possibly be discussed with the landlady, but it's unfortunately not guaranteed she'll say yes.
If interested please get in touch to discuss, happy to answer any questions!
