A Homeshare arrangement offers low cost accommodation in the home of an older person, or couple, in exchange for an agreed amount, typically 10 hours a week, of companionship and help around the home.

Are you an easy going female, with a sense of fun and who enjoys a good chat? Do you also have a kind, caring nature? We are looking for the right person to provide companionship, easy company and a reassuring presence overnight for a kind-natured Witney Housholder.

The Householder, in her seventies, is a very friendly, sociable person with a good sense of fun - she enjoys chatting with people and listening to their stories. She used to love tea dancing and singing but still enjoys listening to music from all eras. She enjoys watching television, reading and attempting quizzes in her favourite magazines, seeing local friends who pop in and spending time with family.

Owing to some health issues, including mild cognitive issues, carers visit twice daily visit at 9am for breakfast and 5pm for dinner. During the day she may watch TV, listen to music or enjoy sitting in the garden or going out for a short walk if the weather is ok. Local friends pop in and family visit at the weekend.

Since losing her husband last year the Householder has lost some confidence and can at times feel lonely. She is looking for someone who is mainly around during the evenings to spend relaxed time together, watching TV and having a friendly chat.

A little help around the house if needed would be appreciated. The Householder would also be happy to do things of shared interest together outside of the house – a browse round charity shops, a cup of coffee or even a trip to the tea dance!

The room is a small-ish single room, overlooking the garden. Bathroom is shared. The house is a good size with plenty of shared space - dining room, living room and sunroom. Close to public transport.
