Hello!
I'm having to move for a new job, so I'm looking for someone to take over my room from early October (official move-in date 12/Oct).
The room is in a 6-bed house with 2 showers, 3 WCs and a shared living room, garden and kitchen (with gas range!) - the people here are absolutely lovely and are totally respectful of preferences so you will feel at home!
We're preferably seeking a working professional to keep the council tax payments the same (band D property), with the house currently split as 4 professionals and 2 doctoral/postdoc students.
The total running costs are:
Rent - £585
Council Tax - approx. £85
Bills - between £30 and £70 varying from summer to winter
Total = between £700 and £740
The rent has only just been increased to £585 on the 12th of August, so you won't see a rent rise for at least 12 months :)
Let me know if you're interested; I can do in-person viewings so just get in touch! (Once confirmed, you need to be fully committed first week of September so that the admin process has enough time.)
[Detailed room info: its a 6-bed house with 2 'full bathrooms' (one with bathtub/shower, and one with shower) and a separate WC.
Communal kitchen that has all the appliances (gas-hob with double oven, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, 1 big fridge+freezer and an additional fridge).
Communal living room with sofa + chair (IKEA obviously as one tenant is Swedish 😊🇸🇪) and dining table with chairs. There is a TV there as well and shelves where we keep games etc. Kitchen, Livingroom, 1 full bathroom, the WC is located on the ground floor. There is also an outdoor space in the back that is getting redone this summer. The second full bathroom and the bedroom that is available is on the middle floor.
Our neighbours are mostly families with small children, working professionals, with a few student houses sprinkled in. The house is a mix of DPhils and working professionals (from the U. K, the U. S, and Sweden), with the working professionals splitting the cost of the Council tax as students are exempt. It is a very welcoming house (mixed gender/faith/politics etc) that enjoys hanging out but there is 0 pressure to do so, especially since everyone has very different schedules.]
