Our housemate, who still has a contract till September, is moving out in June. We are looking for someone to join our cozy house share. We are looking for someone to fill the spot either from June or September, in which case we are also looking for a sublet for the summer months.
The house is just across Folly Bridge and only a 3-minute walk from Hinksey Lake in a quiet neighbourhood. Carfax Tower is about 5 minutes away by bike or a 15-minute walk.
The house has 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a cozy living room, and a lovely garden. The available room is a double room with a window facing our garden. The room is fully furnished, as shown in the pictures. Monthly rent is 577, excluding bills; utilities range between 40 in summer and 75 in winter, plus 135 council tax.
Your potential new housemates would be:
• A recently graduated young professional (29), working on renewable energy. When not busy making the world a little greener, she enjoys climbing or board games and is also easy to convince to watch a chill film or episode in the evening to wind down.
• A DPhil student (28) researching medieval healthcare in the Middle Ages. When she is not burrowed in books, she likes going on rambling walks and meeting friends or saving food, which at times the other housemates get to enjoy as well.
• A DPhil student (24) in materials science. In his free time, he enjoys rowing at unholy times, cycling in the countryside, and exploring the outdoors around the world.
• A DPhil student (28) in computer science researching healthcare of the future (it has come a long way from the Middle Ages!). When not thinking about ultrasound machines, he enjoys running, cycling, and climbing (at Brookes!). He also provides a steady stream of bread for the house, enjoys a freezing dip in Hinksey Lake, or a chill evening in front of the TV.
We don’t have any preference for students or young professionals; however, we would expect the new person moving in to pay half the council tax (Band E), even students. Age range: 25-32.
If you are interested, it would be great if you could write a few lines about yourself to help us get to know you a little.
We’re excited to meet you!
