Hello!
We’re looking for two lovely people to join our home on Iffley Road from 17th August 2026 for a 12-month lease.
The house is a four-bedroom place in an amazing location — just by Magdalen Bridge, a 3-minute walk from Cowley Road, around 15 minutes on foot to the city centre, and with easy bus access from both Iffley and Cowley Roads.
The house itself looks a little old-fashioned from the outside, but it’s bright, spacious, and really cosy inside. The bedrooms have large windows with lots of natural light and ventilation, and there’s plenty of room to make the space your own. There’s also an extra spare room that works well for storage, plus a large open kitchen/dining/living space with a dining table and sofa. The windows look out onto a small garden around the house and the quiet street outside.
Unfortunately the only pictures we have are from the advert of the house; though they're a bit drab in my opinion, I see a lot of potential for decoration!
About us:
I’m Samyuktha (25), and I work in the Department of Anthropology at the University. I enjoy long walks, reading, crocheting, writing, running, and climbing. I’m clean, sociable, and enjoy a calm but friendly home environment.
The other tenant would be Chaitanya (26), who works at the NDM. He’s an incredible cook and baker, and also loves hiking and history.
We both enjoy hosting the occasional dinner, game night, or relaxed evening with friends, while also appreciating personal space and quiet time.
We’re looking for two people who are clean, considerate, friendly, and who’d enjoy being part of a warm and easy-going home rather than just sharing a house. If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
Rent: £625-675 pp/m - 2 rooms are bigger than the others
Council Tax Band: D (If you're a student, the house would get a discount on the council tax, please do confirm you're happy to split the discounted amount).
Utilities (electricity, heat, WiFi, water): We expect utilities to come up to a maximum of £150 pp/m
Security deposit: £3000 for the house, and divided up by proportion of rent to be paid
Please note that you may need to provide a UK guarantor if you are not a working professional.
