I’m a 35 year old trainee therapist living in the wee village of Lochwinnoch, 30 mins from Glasgow. I’m friendly and good craic, but aim for a quieter life as I’m living with chronic fatigue syndrome and try to focus on recovery and wellbeing and save social energy (this is hard cos I’m naturally very chatty). The house is small but nice with a good kitchen, cosy living room, two toilets, shower and bath. The advertised bedroom is on the smaller side with a double bed, and there is a tiny spare room for storage with a desk and single bed in it. It’s on the Main Street of the village which is quite a fun place to live, close to Glasgow but with its own stuff going on (three pubs, village disco, arts festival, community garden and larder, music studio, RSPB centre, watersports centre) and lots of beautiful nature, woods, hills, lochs, rivers and waterfalls all around.
I’m a bright, friendly and relaxed person and have lots of pals in the village who like to stop by. I spend a lot of time at home as I’m not working due to my health, and am training myself as an experiential therapist, looking to start a masters in September. I like to keep the house clean and tidy and cook a variety of food. I’ve always shared food with housemates so have somewhat a preference for that, I eat meat and dairy and everything else. I run a monthly kids group on a Sunday 1pm - 5pm for up to 6 local kids, doing games and craft activities. I also have a godson who is 8 who I look after at the house sometimes. I’m very political but have divorced from political scenes and prefer to be at a distance from the lefty world 🙊
I like to communicate and have honest feedback to make sharig a home as good as it can be for everyone.
I’m looking for someone who’s on the same wavelength and I want to have a good relationship but also be able to be “alone together” if that makes sense. I’m happy if we become friends but I’m also happy with just being a good flatmate.
