Hello! My name is Lucy, and I’m looking for a housemate for my flat in Peckham. I’m a psychologist working in the NHS. I’m pretty sociable and often out in the evenings and at weekends, but I’d love to find a housemate who’d be up for watching TV or having occasional dinners together. I’m looking someone who’s friendly, considerate and tidy, while also respecting each other’s space (a love of true crime/murder mysteries/dramas would be a bonus). I’m a huge plant lover, so if you have any plants you’d like to add to the collection, they’d be very welcome!
The flat has a dishwasher and access to a communal rooftop (shared between five flats) which gets sun all day long and is lovely in the summer. I rarely work from home, so you’re welcome to. That said, the flat probably isn’t ideal if you work from home full-time, as there’s limited space for a desk.
The room itself is cosy but is furnished with a double bed with 2 large drawers underneath, a wardrobe and a small chest of drawers. There’s additional storage space outside the room, with space for a chest of drawers as well as storage above the cupboards. I’m planning to put up shelves throughout the flat very soon and I’m open to thoughts about where these are best placed in the room. I’m keen to discuss how we use the space so it works well for both of us.
Bills:
Electricity, water and broadband currently come to around £74pp per month. I currently have student status, so if you’re also a student we won’t have to pay council tax. Otherwise, council tax is an additional £80pp per month.
Location:
The flat is an 8-minute walk from Peckham Rye station, with direct trains taking you to London Bridge in 10 minutes, as well as Overground services to Clapham Junction and Dalston Junction. Oval and Vauxhall are both around a 15-minute bus ride away to connect you to the underground.
There’s a large Lidl directly across the road, Burgess Park is a short walk away if you’re into running or parkrun, and there are several gyms within a 10-minute walk. Peckham of course has loads of great pubs, cafés and restaurants nearby.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please message me with a bit of information about yourself. Move in date is from 8th July. Feel free to ask any questions in case I missed anything important!
