Room Available – Friendly, Mature Housemate Wanted (Fixed Term Until Sept 2026)

We’re looking for a new tenant to join our home on a fixed-term lease until September 2026.

There is currently one tenant living in the house – he’s a top guy: super friendly, kind, and really easy to live with. I used to live in the house with him until recently, but I've moved out to live with my partner and our new addition to the family.

We're looking for someone equally friendly, easy-going, and emotionally mature. Our highest priority is finding someone who will add positively to the home.

The house is a Victorian terrace in Mutley – just a 4-minute walk to Aldi or Mutley Plain, and about 15 minutes to the train station or city centre. It’s a bit of a project house (reflected in the price of the room), but it’s tastefully decorated and everything works well. The bathroom and kitchen are due to be refitted at the end of the tenancy, but they’re currently fully functional – and the bathroom has a decent shower.

The house and room come furnished. There’s also a projector and sound system in the living room for movies and music, which you're welcome to use.

On-street parking is available right outside. It's restricted from 2–7pm, but annual permits are available from Plymouth City Council for about £40. There are also some free parking spaces dotted around the area.

Both the current tenant and I are mature counselling students. It’s not a party house, but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy music and good vibes. We're looking for someone polite, relaxed, and emotionally aware.

The atmosphere in the house is based on openness and mutual respect – we believe in honest, kind communication. If something comes up, we talk about it without blame, with the aim of making things work for everyone.
