This isn't a modern house. Set in the old mining village of Trehafod, this much-loved semi-detached house is the sort of place that's becoming increasingly rare. Original flagstone floors, old fireplaces, creaking floorboards and rooms that tell stories. It's a house with character in abundance.
Trehafod itself is an old Welsh mining community with a strong sense of identity and some genuinely lovely people. Within minutes of the front door you'll find beautiful valley walks, mountain bike trails, woodland paths and spectacular views across the hills. The train station is just a short walk away, providing regular services to Cardiff, while the Brecon Beacons are within easy reach for weekends spent exploring.
The house would be particularly well suited to two friends, colleagues or family looking to share a home together. As I work away for most of the week, you'll effectively have the place to yourselves the majority of the time, enjoying the space and tranquillity of a whole house rather than the feel of a typical house share.
Pets may be considered, and cat owners will be pleased to know there's already a microchip-operated cat flap installed.
This is a home for people who appreciate old houses, uneven corners, original features and a bit of history. If you're looking for something pristine and ultra-modern, this probably isn't the place for you. If you'd rather live somewhere with warmth, personality and a genuine sense of place, it could be exactly what you're looking for.
