Hi! My flatmate moved home to Cornwall so I'm looking for someone to fill her double room in a two bed, second floor flat on Comiston Road in Morningside. The flat is gorgeous (ex-Airbnb and you can tell), quiet, clean and tidy. It’s a 5 minute walk away from the Braids, Blackford Hill and Braidburn Valley Park and is about 10 mins from the Craiglockhart hills. It’s also short walk from shops in Morningside with two Margiottas just down the street. We also have access to a well-maintained garden that is shared with the others in our block of flats.
Rent is £525 pcm (deposit £750), not including bills. You'd have to sign a lease with our private landlord (who is REALLY GREAT). Council tax band C (£79 each), gas & electricity is on a smart meter but works out around £35pcm each and I have loo roll and a smol dishwasher/clothes detergent subscription if you want to join in. I just finished up a contract with Virgin internet and am in the market for a new one so if you have an internet contract you’d like to transfer here that is a bonus! I own a Google Nest wifi booster so we get good coverage throughout the flat.
There are almost all the kitchen goods/furniture you might need (including a dishwasher!) and plenty of storage room. The hoover left with the flatmate moving out but if you don’t have one we can work something out.
About me (Libby, 32F):
I'm an Aussie finishing up an MSc in Occupational Therapy after a career as a geologist. I loves hillwalking, cooking (curries particularly), jigsaw puzzles, podcasts, brunch, reading, MOMA oat milk, yoga, RuPaul's Drag Race and drinking as many cups of tea as I can in a day.
You: are mid twenties or older, enjoy pot plants, like hanging out with your flatmates and cooking together sometimes but also enjoy your own space. I'm not much of a partier (even in non-COVID times) but I enjoy having friends over for dinner.
If you have a car there is plenty of parking in the vicinity of the flat in non-permit areas, otherwise a permit is pretty cheap (priority parking area B2). Buses to the city (5, 11, 15, 16) leave opposite the flat on a fairly regular basis.
Please get in touch if you have any questions and to tell me a bit about yourself if you would like to setup a viewing.
