NOTE: We're looking for someone who can view/commit ASAP so we can begin referencing and have everything ready for the July 17th move-in date!
Hi everyone! Unfortunately, 2 of our flatmates have finished their degrees and are moving out of our Whitechapel flat :( We’re looking for some people to fill the rooms so we can continue living in this amazing location. The lease start is July 17 so make sure to secure this flat before the housing competition gets tough in August/September!
Some info about the flat!
🏠 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom! So you’ll only be sharing a bathroom with one other person. We have a living room/office space, a nice kitchen, and a cute little patio we like to escape to during the hot summers
🚇 Insanely walkable and well-connected. We’re pretty equidistant between Aldgate East (Zone 1, 7-minute walk!) and Whitechapel station meaning you have access to the 🧡 Overground, 🩷 Hammersmith and City Line, 💚 District line, 💛 Circle line, and the 💜 Elizabeth line. We also have a ton of bus routes running through the area.
🏪 Tesco Express at the end of our street and a massive Sainsbury’s nearby (the kind with a car park lol).
🎨 Negotiated with the estate agency to do some updates including general repainting and updating the bathrooms so they’ll be all ready for new tenants moving in! The rooms will also be thoroughly cleaned ❤️
Some info about the room!:
This room is facing the back over the patio so it’s quite peaceful and away from the street. It is ≈85ft² or 7.9m². The room comes furnished with a bed frame, mattress, desk, nightstand, desk, chair, and standing wardrobe. This is the first room on the second floor of the flat. The ceilings are much taller in these rooms as well.
Some info about us!
My name is Katharine, I’m 21 and starting my Master’s degree at Imperial in August. I’m originally from Los Angeles and moved to London 3 years ago for uni. I love living in East London and am super down to show any new flatmates around :)
My other flatmate is Lauren: “I’m 23 and I’ve just finished my BSc in Computer Science at Brunel. I’m starting a graduate job in Reading in September and currently looking for work until then. I mostly keep to myself but i'm eager to meet new flatmates and help them settle in!”
What we’re looking for!
We’re hoping to find someone who’s generally friendly and pleasant to live with. We don’t have to be best friends if the vibe isn’t there but we at least want a positive relationship with our flatmates! It’s also important we have someone who can keep tidy in the communal areas. We do already have a cleaning rota set up to keep up with tasks so it’d be great to have someone who’s down for that. Also, as I’m doing a pretty intensive degree and Lauren is working, we recognize that the house won’t exactly be a party house. That being said, we’re not completely dead and are more than comfortable with people coming over and other stuff so don’t be concerned about sociability! We’re also open to both students and professionals at the moment!
Just some extra bits:
Bills are not included and usually come to around £50-55 a month depending on usage ← this includes internet!
We are council tax band B in Tower Hamlets!
Spareroom only lets us upload 9 photos so please reach out if you want any additional angles or just general information!
