My current flatmate is moving out to live with her partner, so I’m looking for someone to fill in her room.
The room and flat 🏡:
Small double including the furniture. Just outside the bedroom is a storage space that can be used as a closet just for you (current flatmate has stackable drawers, but can also include a clothing rack instead). The main bathroom is huge and would also be yours, as I have a small en-suite.
The flat is a 2bed 2bath with a large balcony that’s lovely in the summer. Open plan kitchen including a washing machine and large dishwasher. Im also planning to invest in a few replacement bits to the original furniture in the living room to make the flat nicer and cosier. There’s also a second large storage room which is shared and is used to store luggage and other household bits.
Who I’m looking for:
- Someone that really values a clean and tidy household and participates in keeping it that way.
- Someone Looking for a calm place. I work in consulting which can be quite demanding, so I value a quiet place to sleep and wake up to. This is definitely not a party flat but the occasional dinner party and friends always welcome! I’m also a light sleeper so if you’re someone who’s mindful of that would be great :).
- Someone that works most days from the office. The room is small and likely won’t fit a desk. We’ve tried having a desk in the living room but it’s not nice/proved to be quite disruptive on days when the living room is being used or for chill evenings. So it’s fine to be working a day a week or so but not for someone who prefers to wfh.
Rent and Bills:
Rent is 1230 excluding bills. Bills come around to 160 per person per month (82 council tax, 20 water, 15 fiber wifi, 45 for gas & electricity). Note that energy bills is an an average based on low usage as my flatmate and I are often away several days a week. You would be replacing my flatmate in the contract, which is up for renewal in September, so you could stay the 4 months or extend (I plan to stay longer hopefully). There is a chance rent goes up from September, but it’s often by just a bit.
