This is a double room available in a great location just south of the river in Borough, SE1. It has great access to the City, Soho, Westminster all within a 30 minute walk and a short walk away from major railway stations (London Bridge, Waterloo, Blackfriars, Elephant & Castle) and the tube (Borough, Southwark). It's very accessible for someone working in the City or Canary Wharf, and there are a huge number of bus routes passing by this area, including 24 hour services (the 344 from Clapham Junction to Liverpool Street stops just outside). All London airports are easily accessible from the flat, with public transport throughout the night.
Closer to the flat there is a Co-Op (including Post Office) and an Argentinian steak restaurant (downstairs within the building), Gail's, Terry's Cafe, Tesco Express, Mercato Metropolitano the food market and two nice pubs (Mc & Sons, The Ship). If you walk slightly further there is M&S Simply Food, a large Sainsbury's and all the new developments in Elephant & Castle. Local tourist attractions include the Tate Modern, Borough Market and the Imperial War Museum. At the flat itself, there is a balcony with views over the Shard and the City, with a combined lounge/kitchen area and a secure bicycle parking area. (I have a Now TV box, and you can add your own devices.)
You'll be sharing the flat with me (James, 32, Software Engineer) - I like going out and will always be happy to go out with you for a drink or something, but also respect that you'll want your own space too. I'm unlikely to host any parties or similar here and would discuss anything in advance, and I hope this can be mutual. I work from the office almost all the time, so you'll have the place to yourself if you want to WFH during the week - your room has space for a desk and comfortable setup.
Look forward to hearing from you if interested! Also there is the potential to move in slightly earlier or later, my current flatmate hasn't decided his exact plans yet for April but I'm sure we could all sort something out. I'm open to short term rentals - if you're just moving to London and want to stay for the summer, or want trial period before moving to something permanent, without any long contracts, let me know.
Council Tax Band D, bills are around £150 a month. Couples welcome, bills and rent will be adjusted accordingly.
