My flatmate is moving abroad, so we're looking for someone to fill a spacious double-bedroom on the first floor of a charming plant-filled Edwardian home on a quiet street in Rotherhithe, minutes away from the Thames, the Windrush Line and the Jubilee Line. The room is furnished, on the garden side of the house, and gets a lot of morning light from an east-facing window. There is a shared living room + open kitchen, a bathroom shared with one person, and a small study that can be used as a guest bedroom or for storage. We have a dishwasher, a private patio and garden, and even a record player =)
If you don't know the area, it's absolutely London's best-kept secret: quiet, safe, yet well-connected. We're 10 minutes by public transit from London Bridge and Canary Wharf, and 15 minutes from Waterloo, with plenty of scenic walks and woodland paths nearby. There are many bus routes at Canada Water and a big Tesco 15 minutes by foot.
You'll be sharing with me, a journalist and PhD student in her mid-30s. I am clean, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. I'm open to sharing with people of all gender identities and nationalities, asking only that you clean up after yourself and are respectful of the common are. It's not a party house, but I'd be happy to socialize together and friends are welcome to visit. It would best suit a professional or a mature student looking for a calm, creative home with good vibes.
Bills + council tax (Band C) come out to about 90-140 per month.
