Hi there,
I have a wonderful large double bedroom with an ensuite to let to a couple in East India, by Canary Wharf. Better photos will be going up asap!
We're a short 5 minute walk from East India DLR, which will get you to Bank and Tower Hill in 15 minutes. There are also frequent, fast buses to Canary Wharf, and it's one stop to Canning Town to go down an escalator and grab the Jubilee Line. We're Zone 2/3 here.
The room will be available on 26th May 2026 (which is a Tuesday so we'll have to figure it out, eh). It is available for couples only. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly household.
The household is one couple (who have now bought a place and are moving across the road, that's how much they love it here) and one single person in the other bedroom - me! I also have my own bathroom, so no morning queues.
The landlord will want you both to go undergo referencing, and is looking to start that process with potential new tenants by the end of April.
We're right on the Thames here, opposite the O2 dome. There's a lovely shared space overlooking the river, for the whole development. In the flat itself, which is ground floor, we have a balcony off the living room.
So, I'm Suki (short for Suchandrika), a media strategist, writer and tour guide! I grew up in outer north-east London (some call it Essex, but not me), and I've lived in most bits of London over the years.
As a flatmate, I'm tidy, friendly and respectful of other people's privacy. I'm quietly busy if I'm working from home during the day, but I do like a tea break and a chat.
Otherwise, I spend a lot of my work days running across London for meetings and working in other people's offices / co-working spaces.
Away from work, I'm keen on going to see live comedy and music. I try to be a morning gym person (!)* and I tend to walk everywhere quickly, listening to podcasts.
I'm up for the odd glass of wine, watching TV and cooking together every now and then, or heading to the pub. I love a good Sunday roast.
Look forward to meeting you! :)
ps: Here's how to say my name:

* there is a PureGym like 10 mins away and still I manage to not go! So regularly!
