We have a decent sized double room available to be rented from the end of June/beginning of July in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat in Kensington SW7, just off Gloucester Road near Imperial College (photos upon request).
The current flatmates are one male and one female (me), both young professionals, and a cat! You will be sharing a bathroom with the male flatmate and can choose between his current room or the free room, as he is almost never in the flat so wouldn’t mind switching. This also means that realistically, most of the time, you will be sharing the flat with just one other person, me, and I usually work from home. We have a shared kitchen with a large dining table and all modern amenities, and the flat has plenty of storage.
The location of the flat is amazing, within Zone 1 and a 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube (Piccadilly, Circle and District lines), Imperial College, the RCM, Kensington Gardens, the museums and the Royal Albert Hall. High Street Kensington is a 10min walk away and Knightsbridge is 2 stops on the tube or a 15-20min walk. The area has a lot of both local and chain shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cafes, etc. within very close walking distance.
Rent will be £1000 excl. bills, which will be around £180 per person per month and cover council tax, electricity, gas, water and internet.
About us: We are both very relaxed and easy going people who are friends from before we became flatmates, and equally enjoy hanging out, either at home or at a local pub or cafe, as much as keeping to ourselves and watching TV in our respective rooms. We each sometimes have people over for drinks, though not too often, and you’d be welcome to do the same. We both love to travel (my flatmate does so a lot more often) and appreciate different cultures, experiences and people. We have also both respectively lived in the area for many years, and would be more than happy to show someone new around.
About you: Ideally, we would like our new flatmate to be someone who is easy going and we can get on well with. Preferably someone who is fairly social and would enjoy the occasional drink with us, but at the same time not a party animal and will respect our space. Tidiness is an obvious must, and you need to like animals and be happy to live with a cat in the apartment.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and when you do, please include a little bit about yourself in the message. We look forward to hearing from you :)
