Sadly, I am moving out after almost 2 years in this lovely house, as I have recently got a job in East London and found a place that is easier for my commute. I am now looking for another woman to take over my room in this friendly female houseshare.

The room is a bright and cozy furnished double with 2 large windows that let in plenty of natural light. It comes with 2 chests of drawers, 2 bedside tables, and additional built in storage along the wall and upstairs. The thick walls make the room feel private and quiet, so you are unlikely to be disturbed or disturb others.

The house itself is spacious and comfortable. There is a large living room with an extra storage room for suitcases and cleaning supplies, and a couch (we recently added a couch in the eating area as well to make it more cozy), and a very generous kitchen equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and a washing machine that is also a dryer. The kitchen opens onto a smaller dining area overlooking the garden, which we often enjoyed in the afternoons after work. The bathroom is clean, well maintained, and free from mold.

The location is excellent. The house is just a 5 minute walk from East Acton station on the Central Line, which gets you into central London in under 20 minutes since we are in Zone 2. Several bus stops are within an 8 minute walk. Lidl is about 10 minutes away on foot, and there are also Iceland and plenty of local corner shops nearby. Westfield is only 1 stop away on the Central Line with all major shops and amenities, including a recently opened Superdrug. We are just 1 minute away from Wormwood Scrubs, which is lovely for early morning walks and also has outdoor exercise equipment.

You will be sharing with Sofia, who is in her late 20s and works from home as an Advertising Monetisation Manager, using her room as her office. You will also live with Antonia for a short time, she is a PhD Biology student who will be moving out soon. Sofia is Italian and Antonia is from Chile, and both are kind, respectful, and like to keep the house tidy. We have had a simple cleaning rota that has worked really well over the past 2 years.

Rent is 900 pounds per month since the total house rent is 2700 pounds split 3 ways. Bills usually come to around 110 to 130 pounds per person per month, depending on the season, and are generally cheaper in the summer. For convenience, each of us is in charge of paying one bill, but we split all costs equally on Splitwise. At the moment I pay council tax and WiFi, Sofia pays electricity, and Antonia pays the water bill.

The contract renews every October, and you are welcome to stay longer if you agree this with the landlord. If you wish to move before October you can also do that! A nice bonus is that he has never increased the rent over the years.

The room will be available from the beginning of February, ideally from the 4th or 5th but I am flexible! I am available for viewings straight away, so please get in touch if you are interested or if you would like to see more pictures 🤍
