I'm currently looking for a flatmate to join the beautiful maisonette I've been living in for the last five years. Short lets welcome!
- The House
A recently renewed 2 bed maisonette split over two floors, with 2 bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen opening up onto the living room and a garden.
The available room is on the ground floor and has direct access to the garden. It has its own shower and sink while the toilet is right outside the room for your own use (since the upstairs bathroom also has a toilet). There is also a built in wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is no space to fit a desk inside the room but if you WFH you can use the living room table which is quite big.
The kitchen is spacious and equipped with all modern amenities such as dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, kitchen utensils and appliances etc. It opens up onto the bright and spacious living room that is equipped with two sofas, a TV and 2 big door windows that give direct access to the garden and are great to make the best out of the sunny days.
While the common spaces such as kitchen, living room and garden are shared, the way the house is split allows us to have our own privacy since my bedroom and study are on the first floor.
- The current flatmate
I'm a female professional that enjoys having a chat/coffee/glass of wine together every now and then but that also respect the other flatmate's space and privacy. I have a Mon-Fri job and WFH approx. 2 days a week and tend to keep it quiet and early during weekdays (I often watch a movie or go to yoga/gym to unwind from work), while during the weekends I love meeting up with friends for brunch or dinner, go for a bike ride, go to concerts or house gatherings, or visit an exhibit.
-The potential flatmate
Working professional around the same age as me and with a similar mindset: not a party animal but rather a friendly, clean and respectful person that would consider and treat this place as home.
-The area
The house is located in a quiet and leafy alley off Camden Road that lets you forget you're just a few minutes away from the bustle and hustle of the city. In terms of transport, it is extremely well connected:
Tube
Holloway Road station at 10 minutes walk
Caledonian Road Station at 15 minutes walk
Finsbury Park station at 15-20 walk that connects you to National Railway services
Overground
Highbury and Islington st at 20 minutes walk
Upper Holloway st at 15 minutes walk
Several buses connecting you to any part of London
KingsCross StPancras station is only a 15 min ride away (or 30 minutes walk)
Camden town at 30 min walk
There are several big supermarkets at less than 10 minutes walk ranging from Waitrose to Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Lidl.
-The technicalities
Rent is GBP 1,200 per month plus bills (that come around 150 GBP pm incl. council tax, energy bills and broadband)
Deposit is GBP 1,000 and will be returned at the end of the contract.
The contract as per written agreement by the landlord will be a sublet linked to the main contract. References required.
Available from March, though dates can be flexible.
If you're interested please get in touch :)
Thanks!
