We have one large double room available now in our lovely Victorian house in the charming village of Hampton in Arden.
The room is ideal for a young professional, student on industrial placement, pilot or engineer working at Birmingham Airport, contractor working on HS2 or professional who wants a home from home.
We welcome full time lodgers as well as those who want just Monday to Friday (reduced rate available).
There is plenty of off road parking and a large garden to relax in.
Hampton in Arden is a lovely rural village, but yet it is very close to Birmingham International Airport (5 mins by car or train) and the Midlands motorway network; the M42 (5 mins), M6 (8 mins), M40 (12 mins) and M5 (20 mins). It is on a direct train line to Birmingham, Coventry and London and a bus route to Solihull and Coventry. Birmingham International is just 3 minutes away by train and affords easy access directly to the airport, NEC and Genting Arena and Resorts World. Birmingham Business Park is just 10 minutes by car but also commutable by bicycle. Blythe Valley Business Park is just 12 minutes by car and also commutable by bicycle. The property is ten minutes walk from Hampton in Arden station where there is free parking. It provides an easy commute into the centre of Birmingham and many people travel to the University and the QE (Queen Elizabeth) Hospital from here.
If you wish to eat out, Hampton in Arden offers a large choice including The White Lion pub, the Soho Tavern (Indian gastropub) and Hampton Manor, which offers fine dining facilities. These are all 5 minutes walk from the property. Neighbouring villages and Solihull, just ten minutes drive away expand the choice to a wide range of eating and leisure facilities.
Hampton in Arden boasts its own gym, sports club (includes tennis, hockey, squash, boules and football) and there are plenty of golf courses in the surrounding area..

Both lodger rooms are on the second floor and there is a shared shower room with a toilet (only used by the lodgers), large kitchen and breakfast room and living room.
You will have access to laundry facilities including a washing machine, tumble drier (although we try to minimise its use), ironing board and iron.
You will be responsible for providing your own food.
This is a family home rather than a professional house share but my children are all working young adults now - only one still lives at home, although the others visit from time to time. They are mostly house trained and user friendly!
We love living in our wonderful village and am sure you will too!
You can just step outside our house and go for a walk, run or cycle through the local countryside.
