Hey! One of our flatmates (Livio) is moving out 🥹 so we’re looking for someone to join our three-bed flat in Shad Thames. It’s a really lovely spot - quiet, a few minutes from the river, but still super close to everything (Bermondsey Station is 7min walk, and London Bridge station is about 10min walk!). Especially in the summer, it’s honestly such a nice area to live in.
The flat’s spread across three levels, so there’s a good amount of space and privacy, and it’s somewhere that properly feels like a home.
About Us
You’ll be living with me (Alim, 27) and John (23). I’m a chartered accountant working in tech and John’s a project manager (ahem, power tool engineer). We have different interests - he’s into cooking and the gym. I’m a big foodie and love travelling, and have a side hustle going alongside work.
We’ve built a really chilled, peaceful and homely vibe here - we like to hang out (dinners, pub quizzes, TV now and then), but also have our own lives and respect each other’s space. It’s easygoing.
The Room / The Flat
The room’s on the lower ground floor, offered partially furnished (some furniture belongs to Livio; you can discuss what’s for sale with him), with plenty of natural light. The room itself is a good-sized double (comfortably fitting a double bed and desk) and has a massive sliding door wardrobe for storage. The rest of the bedrooms in the flat are split over three levels, so there’s loads of privacy. We have an open-plan living area and a fully equipped kitchen where we share all the usual bits. It includes a fridge, freezer, dishwasher etc. The flat has two bathrooms - you’ll mostly be sharing the downstairs bathroom with Alim.
Rent / Bills
- Rent is £970 per month
- Deposit is £1,077 + £380 contribution for your share of the communal areas furnishings as the flat came unfurnished (sofa, TV stand, shoe cabinet, kitchen equipment, lamps, deco, etc) + £300 for the wardrobes in the bedroom. When you move out, the new tenant will pay this furniture contribution back to you.
- Bills fluctuate but are around £180 per month (includes council tax, internet, utilities, and a cleaner who comes fortnightly)
- Rent and bills are paid on the 10th of each month, so when you move in you’ll pay a pro-rated amount between move-in date and the 10th.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone to take over Livio’s tenancy on July 12th.
Ideally, you’re friendly, easygoing and very tidy + clean. Someone who genuinely wants to treat the flat like a home. We’d love to live with someone who’s up for hanging out from time to time.
