Double room:

Private double bedroom available in a modern, homely, ground floor, non-smoking, family flat in West Dulwich.

We are looking for a lodger with whom to share our family flat in this lovely corner of South East London. The flat is a ground floor, purpose built, Victorian three bed with high ceilings, plenty of natural light and both a front and back garden. All communal areas (kitchen, bathroom, living room and gardens) are shared but you will have private and exclusive access to your own double bedroom (3.5m x 4m). The room is fully furnished with a double bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe hanging space, two mirrors and a bed side table. We are happy, within reason, for you to bring your own items to furnish the room, provided it has been discussed prior to the event. The cost of the room, excluding bills is £650pcm, with 1 month deposit due upfront. Bills, paid in addition to the room cost, are £250pcm. This covers all additional costs, including council tax.

As this is our home, we are looking for someone who is clean and considerate, respectful of other people's possessions and space but who is also sociable and happy to have a natter over a cup of tea or a beer.

Given our location we are blessed with great transport links to all over London. West Dulwich, with trains to Brixton in 4 minutes or London Victoria in 12 minutes, is a 7 minute walk. Herne Hill is a 12 minute walk and will take you to Elephant and Castle, Blackfriars, Kings Cross and beyond. North Dulwich or Tulse Hill are 15 minutes away and go direct in to London Bridge as well as out to Sutton and East Croydon, amongst others. There are multiple bus routes within a 10 minute walk (some closer) which will again take you pretty much anywhere in London. These include (in proximity order) 3, N3, 201, 68, N68, 196, 322, 468, 37, 690, P13, P4, 2, N2, 415 and 432.

The area itself is safe and residential. There are multiple parks within very close proximity, as well as a lido, and all of the local areas (Herne Hill, Dulwich and Crystal Palace) have a very community, village feel. There is a weekly market on Sundays as well as lots of independent cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs within a short walk. Good nightlife in Brixton, Peckham and further afield are all easily accessible by public transport.

If you are interested in the room please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience. We look forward to meeting you and showing you around our home. We will be conducting viewings between 28th and 31st May, with the room available anytime from then onwards.
