An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would welcome the comfort of having someone living in her home and who could inform her family if there was a problem. She likes to be as independent as possible but would love a Sharer who is happy to cook the some meals, helping simple tech/IT (apple), perhaps picking up some shopping, changing lightbulbs and ad hoc practical help and errands as might be useful.

The accommodation on offer is a single bedroom overlooking the garden, currently furnished with a single bed with underbed storage, a chest of drawers and shelves. Other pieces such as a bedside table and armchair etc can also be put in and the furniture can be rearranged.

The property is in an excellent location just 5 minutes’ walk from Putney Bridge underground station, and close to the river, New King’s Road (with shops and restaurants) and Hurlingham Park.

The lady still writes poetry and her home is full of art and pictures. She enjoys listening to Radio 4, reading The Guardian newspaper and uses her laptop to watch programmes.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will work from home sometimes and be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
