An elderly person with reduced mobility and poor short-term memory who enjoys company is seeking a mature Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

They are well supported by family who visit regularly, but would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight. They would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, light cleaning and tidying (it is very clean anyway as this person is always cleaning things and there is an occasional cleaner too), finding TV programmes they might enjoy watching, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a single room currently furnished with a double bed, and shared use of the shower room, sitting room, kitchen and garden.

The property is located in Greenford just 10 minutes’ walk from Sudbury Hill Station (Piccadilly Line) and 12 minutes’ walk from Sudbury Hill Harrow Station (Chiltern Railways), and just a couple of minutes’ walk from the open spaces of Horsenden Hill.

They like seeing people and used to be very out-going and had a busy social life with their church. They also enjoy going on short walks and watching TV (such as light family entertainment shows, wildlife programmes) and seeing visiting family members, including their grandchildren and great grandchildren! They used to love travelling and has visited many countries.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
