Hi there! I live with three friends in a lovely house in Tooting, but I'm moving out in April and need someone to take my room! The reason this is a short term listing is because we'll be giving our 2-months notice to end our tenancy in the house on May 1st, so our contract will end on July 1st. As it's short term, I'm just subletting to keep things easy, so bills will be included in the rent and I'll continue to sort that directly with the housemate who handles all the payments.
The House:
It's a terrace house property on a quiet residential street. You can apply for a parking permit if you need one (I have one and I have no issues finding parking space). It's a very short walk from Tooting Broadway station on the Northern Line, and also not far from Tooting Bec. The ground floor is a spacious open plan living/dining room with a million bookshelves and a very large sofa. The kitchen is on the small side but a good size for 4 people. We have a garden, but honestly we don't really use it. The first floor has a bathroom with a shower/bath and a separate room for the toilet - this is shared by 3 of the 4 tenants. The bedroom available is on this floor. It's also on the small side, but it is comfortably furnished with a double bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers and a small desk. There's also a TV in here that you're welcome to. The first floor also has one of my housemate's bedrooms, but the walls aren't thin so we don't disturb each other. The second floor has the other two bedrooms (one of which has an ensuite - this is the bathroom used by the 4th tenant).
The Other Tenants:
My housemates are all lovely. They like going to gigs and throwing a frisbee around a park. Two of them are in a couple, but still keep separate rooms. (They're a very chill couple to live with, and very respectful of the shared space.) Everyone is late 20s/just turned 30 and works full time. They love a curry night, or a cheeky takeaway on a weekend after a night at the pub. Cosy TV nights are plentiful.
We're mostly just looking for someone to match that vibe, and as it's only a short stay sublet, we're not too fussed about the details.
