Hello,
Hope you are all well.
We are renting out a single room in our late 18th century cottage about a 8 minute walk from Cheadle village, with all bills included.
This is available from the start of May.
A bit about the area:
Stockport station is 2.1 miles away
The nearest bus stop is only a 3 minute walk with routes to Altrincham, Stockport and a bus that goes to Manchester Picadilly from the village, about an 8 minute walk. Didsbury with it's bars/cafes is very close by, about an 8-10 minute drive.
Tesco, Aldi and Lidl are all a 2-3 minute drive away. We are also very close to the M60, a few hundred meters away.
Manchester airport is a ten minute drive away.
Ideally you will be friendly and chilled like us! We don't mind socializing also if you like that. We are a married couple who both work from home. We enjoy cooking, eating out, watching movies, going for walks, etc. There will only be us two and you living here so nice and peaceful :)
The shared areas are the living room, kitchen and bathroom, so a clean person is required.
The bedroom consists of a single bed, a clothes rail with shelves and lamp. The floor is the original waxed wooden floorboards so very easy to keep clean. We have a folding desk and chair if you need it too.
In some houses where sharing occurs, you are often required to bring your own pots/pans/utensils etc. Not here! We have everything covered, just bring your clothes /personal items and move in.
There is road parking at the property if required.
Smokers are fine, but you will be required to smoke outside.
We have two house cats so pet friendly people will be best suited.
There is a wood fire which is amazing on cold days!
The house is away from the main road so it is nice and quiet and is very quirky with lots of character. Please bear in mind this is a small cottage so it's not a large property by any means, so being comfortable with communal living is a must.
There is a beautiful park a 3 minute walk from the property too which is great for a nice walk of an evening.
One thing we often get asked is, “am I allowed to bring my boyfriend / partner to stay". Unfortunately the answer is no. For the price, which is very cheap compared to the other options in the area, probably the cheapest you will find, and the fact we live here as a married couple, combined with the small size of the house, bringing partners is simply not plausible. If you need something that accommodates visitors or partners we recommend paying more money for a larger space.
If you have any questions please ask.
We look forward to hearing from you!
