Lovely double in 2 bed house with small garden, 5 minute walk from Clapham Common station (zone 2) and the common!
Me-
Hi- I’m Ella, 26, and I work in policy for a children’s charity. I love animals, books, theatre and slightly naff craft! My current housemate is sadly moving out for uni, so I’m looking for a new housemate from early August.
Viewings-
I’m doing viewings Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday 18/19th July, and after work Monday 20th July. If you’re not based in London or can’t make those times, please feel free to ask for a virtual viewing :)
The house-
I’m biased but I think the house is so lovely! Think wooden floors and views into the garden. Downstairs is small and sweet, with a shared living room, kitchen, bathroom and little garden with outdoor seating. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a storage closet. We also have a basement which is really handy for additional storage!
The room is part furnished- bed (no mattress) wardrobe and a chest of drawers. It currently also has a desk, bookcase and small sofa bed which will all be moving but give you an idea of what you could fit in!
Finally, we are allowed pets and the landlord is so lovely about letting us paint, put things up etc so we very much have permission to make it our own :)
Who I’m looking for-
I’m ideally looking for a friendly female/nb person who could become a friend rather than just cohabiter- someone to chat to about our days, maybe play the occasional board game/craft night and watch a film or documentary (or random trash!) I work from home 4 days a week, so ideally would be looking for someone who spends at least a few days out the house so we’re not on top of each other. I’m definitely on the tidier side and like to keep shared spaces nice for everyone. I’m vegetarian so would love another veggie but this really isn’t a dealbreaker ❤️ also bonus points if you have a pet I could snuggle!!
Bills
Rent is an absolute steal, especially given location and how lovely the house is. One negative of being in a cutesy cottage vibe house is some of the bills are on the higher side so here’s a breakdown of approximately what you’d be paying. Total per person is around £170 a month
Council tax: 85 (band d)
Energy: 30
Water: 25
WiFi: 20
Tv license: 7
There’s also a one off £50 fee to amend the contract to add your name to the lease, to be paid to the letting agent.
Please get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself if you think we could be a good fit :)
