Offering an unusually large double room in a professional house share in Streatham Hill, available from 7 October 2026.
The room is rectangular and very spacious, which makes it easy to organise into different areas. There’s plenty of room for a sofa and work desk alongside the usual bedroom furniture, so it works particularly well if you work from home or simply like having more living space.
Photos show the room as professionally photographed by the agent, and as it will be once cleared of my belongings. I’ve also included some of my own photos of the house.
The room comes with:
1 double bed
2 wardrobes
1 chest of drawers
1 desk
1 chair
The room is on the ground floor and is available for single occupancy only.
THE HOUSE
The house was renovated a few years ago and is modern, bright and well maintained. It’s lovely and warm in winter and bright and airy during the summer.
There’s a very large, gorgeous high-spec kitchen-diner, a very large back garden, a large shared bathroom on the first floor, plus a separate downstairs toilet.
The main bathroom is shared between 4 tenants, as 2 tenants in the house have their own en-suites.
The house is in an excellent location and I’ve always found the immediate area safe and comfortable, including when coming home later in the evening.
THE AREA
Streatham is a lovely area to live in, with pretty much everything you need nearby, with parks and plenty green spaces.
Streatham High Road is around a 10-minute walk away, with lots of shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs, as well as other local amenities including libraries, gyms and churches.
Fitness First is just 10 mins walk from the house - great gym, with pool and sauna/steam!
TRANSPORT
Transport connections are excellent:
Streatham Hill station = around 10 minutes’ walk
Tulse Hill station = around 20 minutes’ walk
417 bus - runs between Clapham and Crystal Palace = stop around 3 minutes from the house; approx 20 mins ride to Clapham Common, 15-20 mins to Crystal Palace.
Reaching central London is easy and quick:
Victoria = within 30 mins, via direct train
Waterloo = reachable in about 40 mins
London Bridge = reachable in 30-40mins
Lots of bus routes are available from Streatham High Road, around 10 minutes away
NEW TENANTS
This is a professional house share and any new tenant will need to go through the lettings agent that manages the property.
You’ll need to pass their usual affordability and referencing checks, which generally include employment checks and a previous landlord reference. The application and tenancy process is handled directly by the agent.
RENT & BILLS
Rent is £1,235 per month, including some bills. There is a 5 weeks’ deposit.
Gas and electricity are additional and vary seasonally, but have typically averaged around £50 per month for me.
Feel free to message me with any questions or to arrange a viewing.
For more information about the room and property; I'm unable to include a direct link here, but if you search for City Rooms website, and use their search for available rooms - search "Streatham" and this room will come up - under Mount Nod Road. If you would like a direct link to their listing - happy to share this via DM.
It’s a genuinely lovely house and an unusually large room, with a chance to sort out your move well in advance. So if it sounds like what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch!
