Double room in GF flat with beautiful garden located on a quiet leafy street. The room has a double bed, floor to ceiling built-in cupboard and a double wardrobe (can assess what other furniture you need/already have, am happy to add chest of drawers or a desk). The living room is bright and looks out onto the garden, there's a TV which I use for Netflix/You Tube (I don't have TV packages or a TV licence as I don't use). There is a small kitchen with washing machine plus a dining room. The bathroom has shower & bath. 4 mins walk from Sydenham overground station (17m London Bridge, 21m Canada Water, 24m Canary Wharf, 30m Shoreditch). Bus stop 2 mins walk with very good access to surrounding areas plus Tottenam Court Road, Leicester Square. There's free on-street parking. Friendly neighbourhood only 7m walk to high street, 10m walk to funky Forest Hill. The south facing garden has a small patio area, then a walk through greenery to a small grassed area. There are multiple beautiful parks close-by, Wells park, Mayo park and Crystal Palace park next to the trendy Crystal Palace Triangle with great cafes, restaurants, farmers market and product refill centre (e. g shampoo, cleaning product refill).
About me
I love life and work to live. I don't eat meat (I enjoy plant based eating but do eat fish a couple of times a week). I'm very well travelled, enjoy yoga, my mountain bike, road bike, chilling in the beautiful garden (weather permitting), seeing friends, looking after my health and sometimes rollerskating! I love to dance and pre-C-19, enjoyed music weekenders. Home is my sanctuary. I like to feed myself nutritious food (but sometimes pig out on dark chocolate :)). I love animals but am unfortunately allergic to (more specifically) cats, so am not able to live with them. (so sorry you're not able to bring your cat). I'm working from home for the foreseeable future.
The ideal flatmate
You're female. You're easy going, generally a positive person (we all have our bad days and I certainly have those on occasion!). You can communicate if something is bothering you (I'm always open for discussion). You're independent and have your own life to live. You clean up after yourself. You like to live in a relatively clean and tidy environment (I'm busy so not a total clean freak but do like to keep on top of things). You won't mind watering the plants if you notice they're empty of water and if I'm away. If you like a bit of gardening (chopping, pruning, mowing) its a bonus but not essential! You like to take care of yourself and are probably not a total couch potato (of course it's okay to relax!) Just want a civilized and respectful flatmate relationship so that home life is stress and anxiety free. I'm open to an occasional meal or drink together, or a netflix night or a stroll to a cafe etc but equally happy for you to totally do your own thing! You'll want to say hello and have a quick natter occassionally (I don't want to live with someone who ignores me or who can't exchange pleasantries).
You're a Non-smoker. You're probably a little health conscious (mental & physical). Easy-going, age range 25 to 55 (or try me I'm open and it depends more on who you are/your lifestyle). I prefer meat not to be cooked in the flat. If you currently need to work from home we could make something work (my last flatmate and I setup dining room as a shared office, but I don't want this long-term).
Give me a call to find out more. If I can't answer please leave a message and I'll return your call. Or please text me rather than just leave an email here, as my inbox is swamped and I might miss you! :)
