I have a room to rent in a 2 bed flat in Tooting, as unfortunately my good friend will be leaving in June.

For clarity, the new tenant would need to join me in being named on the new 12 month agreement(and hopefully beyond), this will need to be agreed a month prior to the move in date to start referencing etc.(letting company rules 🥱) - We’ve lived in the flat for 3 years now, so there would likely be an option to sign again beyond that.

The bedroom is the larger of the two and comes with the bed pictured, with built in wardrobes/storage featuring plenty of space, room for a desk and looks out to the back garden area. We have a shared bathroom, a kitchen/lounge area which is of reasonable size and a poorly maintained garden(working on that).

As with many places in London, the place isn’t in tip top shape, but definitely good value. General costs will be £775 rent, with bills bringing it up to around £900~ dependent on seasons.

About me - I’m 33 and work as a Management Accountant for a TV company, pretty much solely from home.
My main interests are football(have all of the tv channels covered), gym(a lot) cycling(a lot), going to the pub(a lot) and on occasion using my extensive pointless knowledge in pub quizzes(not a lot).

We are around 5 minute walk from Tooting Broadway and have a great area nearby, with the usual shops/cafes/restaurants under a 5 minute walk, but some brilliant curry houses plus a great selection of pubs, of which I’m a local at The Antelope!

Ideally I’m looking for someone with some shared interests, but mainly someone that could become a friend rather than a passing acquaintance. I clean the flat once a week, so someone that doesn’t leave too much mess behind is enough for me, bonus points if you have an interest in maintaining the aforementioned garden.
