The flat is a 10-min walk from Bruce Grove or an 18-min walk to Tottenham Hale both of which are one stop to Seven Sisters on the Victoria Line. Tottenham Hale also connects easily to Stratford, Hackney, and London Liverpool Street.
It is a first floor flat up one flight of stairs. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac next to a small park and a few minutes from the high street. The area also has lovely community-oriented pubs and activities.
Within the flat, there is a shared kitchen (with microwave, small dishwasher, induction stove, oven, toaster, and coffee maker) and living room. The living room will be used as my work-from-home office 2 days a week 9am-6pm. It can also be used occasionally as a guest room. There is a nice-sized garden with chairs and anyone with a green thumb is welcome to contribute to what I've already started. A bicycle can also be stored in the garden shed.
The room is 3m x 2.9m with a single bed, a small desk, and loads of in-built storage cupboards including wardrobes for hanging clothes and a vanity. It has a large south-facing window with blackout curtains. The single bed could be swapped for a double if preferred.
I'm a professional working standard hours (wfh 2 days / in office 3 days). I go out on weekends and am involved in hobbies like rollerskating, samba, and burner festivals. I have an elaborate 'craft corner' in the living room that I like to do small makery from. However, my home life revolves around my older and anxious Jack Russell dog.
This room is perfect for any animal-lover new to London, in school, or working at a local vet. Would be great for a student at the Royal Veterinary College or anyone patient with animals. Its important that you be able to interact with the dog patiently, and be able to communicate schedules so that I know when the dog is alone. You won't have any responsibilities with the dog, but I'll have to coordinate dog-sitters when no one is home for long stretches.
Besides being an animal lover, I'm looking for some one who can bring a positive energy to the house. Communication is key in coordinating shower schedules, cleaning, and dog. But I'd also like some one I can enjoy the occasional chat with. Anyone creative is welcome to express that in the house. It won't work for some one working from home full time, but complementary work-from-home schedules could work out nicely.
The 700 GBP is inclusive of all bills, so rent alone is roughly 550 pcm. Can be reduced for students proportional to reduction in council tax (band C).
