We've got a lovely and bright double room coming up in Brockley/Nunhead, just round the corner from Telegraph Hill.
The house is a classic Victorian townhouse, six bedrooms with one person in each. We've got a decent-sized kitchen/dining room, then a separate living room (with TV) and conservatory which opens to a peaceful green garden and large outdoor table - excellent for the summer. The housemates are all in their late 20s/early 30s, with jobs in music, fashion, charity, and live production.
The room itself is the largest in the house, on the top floor overlooking the street. Comes with a double bed and mattress, two bedside tables, two big built in wardrobes and a huge shelf storage bit too. I also have some furniture bits I can sell on. The room spans the whole width of the house, with two huge windows and loads of natural light - there's even a tree right outside. On street parking too! The street is nice and quiet and we also have a lovely neighbour next door.
Location wise we're close to Brockley station (national rail and Windrush line), Nunhead (national rail), and busses going to Peckham/Lewisham/New Cross. Telly hill is less than two minutes walk, hilly fields park isn't far either, and we've got plenty of little shops nearby. Skehans is just round the corner and the centre of Brockley has loads of pubs and cafes and the likes.
We're looking for a housemate in the 22–36 age range, and open to all genders. The general vibe here has always been relaxed and respectful — everyone keeps communal spaces clean, but there’s no pressure to be super social all the time. People mostly do their own thing but are usually up for a trip to the pub or the occasional dinner or film night. I've really enjoyed living here and am only moving to be closer to work. The housemates are super nice and chill - I'm sure whoever moves in will have a great time here.
The room is available now. The new tenant will have to go through a credit check and then sign a new group tenancy with the existing housemates until the end of May. After that you're welcome to stay on for another year - all of the current housemates are intending to stay. We're looking to fill this room ASAP so I'm looking to get viewings sorted soon, which will probably be weekday evenings.
If you're interested please drop us a message and include your move-in date. It's an easy-going place but we still want someone with a bit of personality, so if you do get in touch please tell us a bit about yourself!
Thanks :)
Council tax bad E. No couples, sorry!
