Hi everyone! I’m looking for someone (or a couple) to take over my housemates tenancy in this warm and cosy flat in St John’s, as they are moving in with their partner. Sad to see them go but also excited for a new chapter.

The available room is a large double at the front of the flat, with a big bay window that lets in plenty of natural light. It has recently been painted and comes part-furnished with a king-size bed, mattress, headboard and two wardrobes, although these can be removed or replaced if you’d prefer to bring your own furniture. The room is spacious and comfortably fits a couple.

The flat itself is a two-bedroom basement flat, but it feels bright and welcoming throughout. There is an open-plan kitchen and living room with lots of storage and everything you need, including a TV. There is also good outdoor space at the back, which is spread over three levels of decking and concrete. We have a table tucked under the trees, and it’s a really lovely spot to sit when the weather is nice.

The flat is located on a quiet residential street between Lewisham, New Cross and Deptford. It’s just a five-minute walk to St John’s Station, around ten minutes to Lewisham Station, and only a few minutes from local bus stops, making it very well connected. The neighbourhood has an active community, with friendly neighbours and a cute community garden project currently being developed at the end of the road.

You’ll be sharing with myself Han (they/them) and Plum, the resident cat. I am is self-employed as a cleaner, so in and out during the day with clients. I love a calm, tidy home, while also enjoying occasional shared dinners, reality TV and trips to the park. Plum is an independent but affectionate cat who likes to nap nearby and occasionally curl up on the bed. Because of this, the flat isn’t suitable for other pets.

We’re looking for a person or couple who are kind, considerate, tidy and neurodivergent-friendly, and who would enjoy being part of a peaceful but sociable home.

The rent is £950 per month, with bills averaging around £150 per month, which includes water, internet, council tax, gas and electricity. The deposit is one month’s rent.

The room is available from the end of May 2026, with flexibility for a move-in date anytime up to mid-June if that works better for you. The tenancy is managed by Foxtons, who will require references and proof of income. Benefits are accepted. Couples are very welcome, although only one person can be named on the tenancy agreement.

If this sounds like somewhere you’d like to call home, please send me a message with a little bit about yourself (or yourselves). We’re arranging viewings as soon as possible and would love to hear from you ✨
