About us
We’re William and Millie – two friends who met on our Art Foundation course and have lived together (with various other friends!) since moving to London in 2023. Sadly, our current housemate is moving in with his girlfriend (very happy for him… but less happy for us!), so we’re looking for someone to take over his room.

The room & house
The room is a furnished double overlooking the garden. The house itself is spread over three floors and is surprisingly spacious for a three-bed, with two toilets, one bathroom, a large living room with a dining table, ample storage and a generous patio complete with a BBQ – perfect in the summer.

The location
We’re in Surrey Quays, around a five-minute walk from the Overground and about ten minutes from Canada Water for the Jubilee line, so getting into central London is quick and easy. We’ve never had any issues getting home after a night out either. There’s also a lovely park just five minutes away which leads down to the river - one of our favourite spots for a run, evening walk and a sunset.

What we’re looking for
Having both done our fair share of SpareRoom (including surviving a six-bed house!), we know how important it is to find people you genuinely enjoy living with.

We’re looking for someone who’s independent and has their own life, but who’s also happy to chat in the kitchen, share the occasional dinner (burger night is a house favourite), watch a TV series, head to the pub, play cards, or visit an exhibition at the weekend.

The house has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We respect each other’s space, but we’d love someone who naturally becomes part of the house rather than just sharing it. Hopefully you’ll feel comfortable joining us for the odd plan, meet our friends and we’d love to get to know your friends too!


In terms of our weekly routine, we both work a 9-5 (in engineering and executive search) with some days in the office and some working from home.
We’re both clean, considerate and easy-going, and we’re hoping to find someone similar who’s looking for a home rather than just a room.
