I’m looking for a housemate to share my beloved 2-bed flat with me and my cat in the beautiful Crossfields Estate, Deptford.
The room is 3.85m x 2.87m and can be rented furnished or unfurnished, depending on what suits you. I have used AI for the image, just to remove a large piece of furniture I was not able to move on my own.
The flat has south-facing windows and a balcony, so it gets loads of natural light throughout the day. There’s a separate bathroom and toilet and open plan kitchen/living space, as well as additional storage space. I am on the third floor with no lift, so you do get fit carrying the shopping up!
In our estate we have access to the communal garden, including a community gardening project with plots available if you fancy growing your own vegetables 🌱 There is also a bike shed for £30 a year and parking permits available.
📍 Location
5-10-minute walk to Deptford High Street and Deptford station
10–15-minute walk to New Cross and Greenwich DLR
Loads of great pubs, cafés, restaurants and independent shops nearby
Lovely community feel around the estate
A little about me: I’m 32 and work for the NHS as a Speech and Language Therapist. This means I’m out of the house 5 days a week and rarely work from home. I am pretty sociable and enjoy seeing friends and family, going out for dinner or drinks, mooching around Deptford market and the odd festival or holiday. But I do have a pretty busy, sometimes stressful job and my flat is my little sanctuary, so I also like a quiet night in.
I also have a small black cat, Miri, so being a cat lover is a must 🐈
I am interested in living with a like minded professional or postgraduate student of a similar age and lifestyle. I’d love to live with someone I get on with and who would be interested in hanging out in front of the TV, cooking together or heading out for a drink. But I like to live in a peaceful, tidy home, and do enjoy my own space too, especially after a long day. I'm really keen to have open communication, a contract, and regular check ins, but I'm not keen on cleaning rotas etc.
Here is an estimated breakdown of the price per month:
Rent - £687.50
Service charge - £62.50
Council tax - £75 (Band B)
Gas and electric - £35
Wifi - £10.50
Water - £28
TV licence - £7.50
Total - £875
I’ll be holding viewings next week. If you’re interested, please send me a little bit about yourself, what you’re looking for in a house share and why you think we might be a good fit 😊
