🏡 Lodger wanted – peaceful bungalow with lovely surroundings

I’m looking for a friendly, respectful and tidy person to share my home with.

I’m a 70-year-old retired lady. I used to teach woodwind and brass instruments to primary school-aged children, and although I’m now retired, I still enjoy keeping busy and making the most of life.

My other lodger is a gentleman in his 60s who works part-time. Please don’t let our ages put you off! We’re both young at heart, easy-going and enjoy life to the full. We enjoy having a chat and a laugh, while also respecting each other’s privacy and appreciating having our own spaces.

I’m looking for someone who will fit comfortably into our relaxed and friendly home, who is considerate, respectful and tidy, and who appreciates a peaceful environment.

The accommodation includes:

A furnished bedroom with a double bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, built in wardrobe and easy chair (all bedding and towels are provided by yourself)
Use of WiFi/broadband
A shared lounge/dining room, with SMART TV and a piano which you are welcome to use
A shared wet room
A shared well-equipped kitchen, with your own cupboards for storage and space in the fridge and freezer
Access to a large, sunny patio
Off-road parking
A cleaner who comes in fortnightly to help keep the home looking its best

The garden has a stream running along the bottom, and there are good walking opportunities close by, including Southwick Country Park, which is on the outskirts of the village.

The bungalow is also within easy walking distance of a local pub serving food, and there is a good bus service approximately five minutes' walk away.

Rent and deposit:
The rent is £600 per calendar month, payable at the beginning of each month. A £600 deposit is payable together with the first month's rent. The monthly rent includes council tax (band D), utilities (gas, electricity and water), and WiFi/broadband.

Working from home:
The property isn't suitable for someone who works from home full-time. However, it may be possible to accommodate the occasional day of home working if needed.

Please note:
This is a home share, and overnight guests are not permitted.
