An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as shopping/unloading the online delivery, cooking up to four or five meals each week, loading/unloading the dishwasher, light cleaning and tidying, laundry, carrying heavier items, simple tech and help with admin/filling, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

Although the lady doesn’t currently have a pet, there will be a family member’s dog visiting regularly, an occasionally this dog and a family member’s cat staying when they are on holiday (so help on these occasions with dog walking and feeing the pets would be helpful).

The accommodation on offer is an ensuite double bedroom, and shared use of the spacious kitchen and garden.

The lovely property is in an excellent location in the heart of Truro, just 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre, and easy to get to the train station and hospital.

Although elderly, the lady is a child psychotherapist and still teaches and consults. In her spare time, she reads The Guardian and The New Yorker, listens to Radio 4, watches the news and reads books. She also enjoys watching A Place in the Sun, Strictly Come Dancing and various programmes and films.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
