This Groombridge village house was built in 1584, and is two cottages joined into one. The available good sized double room overlooks the village green. The house is well finished with a large kitchen diner, main lounge with inglenook fireplace, and another lounge with a Yamaha upright piano and large windows overlooking the green. There's a spare guest bedroom with bathroom in the converted cellar. I'm easy going, and like to keep the house tidy and clean. A decent sized garden, summerhouse, two decks, benches, garden tables/chairs/brollies etc. On and off street parking. I travel regularly so can often be away, and speak some Spanish, Italian & French. There's a warm and informal atmosphere in the house. The local community is friendly, village pub 100 yards away, bakery & shop a short walk, cricket pitch, tennis courts close by. You'll likely want a car, or be into cycling/walking! There's high speed wifi broadband. Great countryside to explore, loads of walks, cycle and bridle tracks. 10 mins from Ashdown forest, 10 mins Tunbridge Wells, 35 mins Gatwick, 45 mins Brighton, London Charing Cross one hour door to door with a following wind. Looking for a sharer who is spirited, humourous, trustworthy and easy-going. A positive, outgoing 'glass half full' person.
