About the room:

This is a king size garden room in a renovated Edwardian property, with a private en-suite shower room. Situated on the ground floor of the duplex flat and facing the garden, this room comes furnished with a king size Ottoman bed, double wardrobe and integrated shelving unit, and separate chest of drawers. There is a fridge with small freezer compartment in the room. The garden can be accessed by the sliding door in the room, or through the shared kitchen.

Everyone who comes to our house falls in love with it. And it’s opposite Boston Manor Park; consider that our front garden to complement our very own ever-evolving back garden :-)

The room is available on a minimum 6-month basis, and we are happy to consider extending the lease beyond this for the right person and providing things are going well, with no expiration but with reasonable (1 month) notice.

All bills included except cleaner (£18/week) if we choose to get one, and communal use products (£5-10/week).

We also have a car so weekly grocery shopping is easier, and you’d be welcome to join on occasion.

About the shared kitchen:

- Range cooker with five-zone induction hob, two standard sized ovens, a slow cooker and a grill;
- Fridge/freezer (additional to the one we will put in the room);
- Dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer;
- Plenty of kitchen storage and pantry space to share;
- Sage barista coffee machine - a godsend in the mornings!

About the area:

Extremely well connected, we’re just a 7 minute straight-line walk to Brentford station, which takes you all the way out to Surrey and all the way into Waterloo via Vauxhall, Putney, Barnes, Wandsworth, Battersea and Chiswick (though not in that order!) On the other side, we’re just a brisk 8-9min walk from Boston Manor station, with the brilliant Piccadilly line taking you to Heathrow in the west, and central London and Cockfosters in the east. Beyond this, we’re well connected for short bus rides to Richmond, Ealing, West Ealing (Elizabeth Line), Lime bikes, the Union canal if you’re that way inclined, the Great West Road and M4. Brentford, Ealing and Hanwell have an array of pubs and restaurants, and Brentford in particular is transforming by the day to become a very cool and fun place to be.

About us:

2 single gay guys, with a super friendly LabraStaff dog, and two affectionate cats. One of us is British/South African and the other is Brazilian. One works in HR and is training to be a psychotherapist, the other is a platform manager from Brazil, also training to be a psychotherapist.
We’re well-travelled, and enjoy learning about other people and cultures. English, Afrikaans, Spanish and Portuguese are all spoken here - including with the animals!

We are both career professionals, and between Monday and Friday, you will find at least one of us working from home in our little office, in the garden (in the summer!) or at the dining table!

We enjoy the occasional bbq in the summer, or the odd dinner party, and mostly spend our non-working time at home or out socialising.

You’ll be welcome to meet and speak in confidence to the current housemate to find out more about his 10-month experience here. He’s relocating to Bournemouth for work, hence the vacancy.
