Due to a tenant leaving recently, there is currently a spacious and furnished double room available in the heart of the historic village of Hampton, right by the river Thames.
We'd prefer a female, just to maintain the balance of the group. If you're a male please don't be offended if you don't receive a response.
This property is hundreds of years old and has the character to prove it. It is a unique and lovely place to live,
The place has plenty of character and would benefit from a new housemate who could offer it some much needed TLC. The current housemates tend to spend much of their time away or in their rooms so the living room and garden would be practically your own.
The historic building is split between two flats - upstairs and downstairs, each with 3 double bedrooms. Currently there is a vacancy downstairs and Brad and Jack are looking for a new housemate.
The rate is 735 per month, this includes all the bills (including Council Tax and BB!) The deposit is one months rent.
There is storage in the bedroom and additional storage available elsewhere in the flat and also in the shed in the garden, ideal for large suitcases, bikes etc.
The rest of the house is very spacious, warm and welcoming.
The kitchen is spacious with a large fridge freezer and there is a dining area and breakfast bar, all fully equipped.
There is a spacious private garden/yard with a patio and set of garden furniture, and so it is lovely in the summer (a bit of a sun trap!) and ideal for BBQ's and cocktail parties.
The landlord (Jonnie) is a lovely guy who lives in the USA and visits England occasionally. It used to be his home before he emigrated.
The house is so fun and quirky due to its age and history e. g. piano, barometer, original features. All a wee bit dusty due to lack of use. There is a lounge TV that no one uses.
The house is ideally located near Hampton station (5 min walk) and on several bus routes (111 Heathrow Airport to Kingston, R68 from Hampton to Kew and the 216 from Staines to Kingston) and District Line from Wimbledon for West London. The house is a perfect location for anyone working in (for example) Teddington (as it is a short walk across Bushy park with its lovely wild deer), Kingston, Hampton Court Palace, Richmond, Twickenham, Central London or Kew. We are inside the Oyster card zone (Zone 6), so travel is cheap and easy. If you drive there is parking in the side streets in the area a minutes walk away.
It is within 1 min walk to 2 well renowned pubs, the Jolly Coopers which serves the 'worlds best tapas' and The Bell which serves wonderful pub food and more fancy meals. There are also several restaurants and a few shops in a close walking distance. There is a huge Tesco and Sainsburys within a 10 min drive, and a Little Waitrose in the village itself.
Hampton TW12 is a much sought after area and this location puts you in the heart of the historic village.
The river is literally across the road, so walking in the area is really picturesque. There is a local ferry across the river to access Molesey on the Surrey side. This area is full of green spaces and is a lovely place to live.
If you are interested in the room then a viewing can be arranged with the tenants directly.
