Our lovely flatmate is sadly leaving her room and we are looking for someone clean, respectful and friendly to fill her spot.
The room is lovely - large, and quiet with direct access to our garden. It faces the back of the house. We are located on a very quiet cul-de-sac with a stable at the end. The room comes fully furnished with wardrobe, set of drawers and a double bed. There is space to add a desk or other furniture as well.
The flat has a bright, cozy living room with a small dining table, a comfortable sofa and garden access. There is good sized kitchen with plenty of cupboard space and a huge fridge/freezer. The bathroom is shared amongst the three of us. We have a garden which is great in the summer and there is a private (and free!) car park which we have access to.
You will be sharing with Catia, who is Portuguese, and working as a dental nurse. She has been living in our flat for 5 years. She loves cooking, watching movies and having lazy Sundays. I'm German and have lived in this flat since 2020. I'm working as a treasurer for a wholesale company nearby. I love travelling, reading, exploring London and the UK, theatre, checking out lots of exhibitions in the many great museums as well as hiking and greeting the horses at the near by stable whenever they're out.
We are keen for someone who is looking to make the house a home, someone who is clean and respectful. Someone who likes having a chat while cooking and binge watching series together. Working from home is no problem. Catia is working ourside completely and I work from home Thursdays and Fridays.
The flat itself is in a great location, just under a 10-minute walk from Brixton high street and tube station where you can get the Victoria line which runs all night on the weekend. It is also a 5-minute walk away from Loughborough Junction train station with trains that take you straight to the city in 15 min. We are near several parks including Brockwell Park and Lido and Ruskin Park. There is a small Sainsbury's, Tesco's and Co-Op 5-10 minutes walk as well as larger supermarkets 15-20 minutes away. We are on a nice quiet road with a small park directly opposite the house.
It is a shared tenancy agreement, your share will be £939 a month and bills (broadband, electricity & gas, water, council tax) come to about £130 per month on top. The deposit is £725 and the joint flat deposit is held in a secure scheme; this should be paid to confirm the room. It's worked well for the past 6 years.
We can be flexible with the move-in date but we need to have someone moved in by the end of May/start of June.
