I'm renting the second bedroom in my 3-bed house in Hammersmith. It's just me living here, so it'll be the two of us in a whole house — and I'm not adding any more flatmates.

The room: furnished double on the first floor with a brand-new bed. Happy for you to bring your own mattress or furniture instead if you'd rather set it up your way.

The space: you get most of the living room. I work from the third bedroom, which is my office, so I'm genuinely not in there — it's yours for working from home, studying, or just spreading out. I'm also away most weekends, so you'll usually have the whole house to yourself Saturday and Sunday. Handy if you want quiet, or want to have people over.

Location: Hammersmith, Zone 2. District, Piccadilly and Hammersmith & City lines from one station, so 20–25 minutes to the West End, the City, UCL, LSE and KCL. Close to the river and local sports facilities.

About me: I'm David, 33, a software developer working in investment banking. Tidy and considerate, into sports and the gym, always up for trying a new food spot, travel a fair bit, and partial to a pub pint. I like a calm, friendly house — happy to catch up over coffee, equally happy to leave you to your evening.
