Morden is a nice location with many new restaurants and coffee shops, several parks and a new leisure centre. It is very well connected with central London - a Tube ride to London Bridge takes around 30min. There is also a Thameslink overground station very close by and this can take you to Wimbledon, Sutton as well as central London. Many local bus routes are also available.
