ROOM AVAILABLE FROM 20th MARCH.
We are a gay couple (aged 42 and 54) offering our lovely guest room for a lodger in Bow.
We are looking for someone whose job is based in a workplace, NOT someone who works from home. This is because our own work (at home) requires privacy (involving vulnerable children and confidential financial information).
As live-in landlords, we’re friendly, but tend to keep to ourselves and won’t expect a lot of social interaction. It’s definitely not what you’d call a party pad - just the occasional Saturday night every couple of months with our close friends, cocktails, and movies.
The room is for single occupancy. It's bright, with a double bed, wardrobe, Chromecast TV, and a table and seat. The shared spaces are the kitchen and the bathroom, and the flat has wifi, a dishwasher, smart electric heating, and great views towards the City and Canary Wharf.
Our ideal lodger would be a mature, non-smoking professional - perhaps someone working in Canary Wharf (30 minutes to your desk) or the City (via District/Central). We’re about half an hour away from London City Airport, and 45 minutes from the Eurostar at St. Pancras.
5 minutes to Bow Church (DLR); 10 minutes to Bow Road (District/H&C); bus routes 8 and 25 stop within a few minutes' walk. Convenient for Tesco at Roman Road or at Bromley-by-Bow (488 bus), and Westfield Stratford (276 or 339 bus).
Bills included. One month's rent (£900) plus five weeks' deposit (£1,000) in advance. Notice period of two months.
