Hey there, future housemate,

I'm looking for someone to join me in my flat for, hopefully, a marvellous time. I bought the place at the end of last year, and I've been getting it nice (I think). I'm now officially approving it as fit for human habitation. It would be for 6 months initially, but possibly longer.

The room is a decent size and has a super-comfortable, not-cheap king-size mattress on the bed. It's south-facing, so it gets plenty of light, and I've just had some new wooden shutters installed so that the light can be blocked out when you want it to. I'm on the top floor, so there's a nice view of the city from the bedroom window.

There's a good-sized kitchen with a dishwasher, as well as all of the usual stuff. There's also a garage to store a bike or anything else bulky.

The lounge/dining room is fairly big, with possibly the most comfortable sofa you've ever sat on. The furniture is quality solid wood stuff - no landlord specials here. The highlight is potentially the balcony, which overlooks the canal and the park. It's super peaceful and almost like not being in London (if you ignore the occasional sound of Lime bike bells).

Just to warn you, the flat is a very tidy one, and there will be rules about keeping things clean. I'm looking to find someone on the same wavelength when it comes to that. However, I would like the flat to be a fun and social one. Friends are encouraged to come over for food and drinks. I've done many years of shared-house living, and I think that when it's good, it's really great.

My name's Tom. I like all of the things London has to offer. I love going to see comedy, weird performances and gigs. I'm pretty chill when I'm at home, but I love watching a film (A24 and the like — sorry to be an East London cliché). I enjoy a drink, and I'm always up for a cheeky pub visit.
