My flatmate is moving out and I am looking for someone to take over his room!
About the room:
It is a large double bed room with a tall wardrobe, desk, and bedside table - please not that some of the furniture, pictures, and decorations are my flatmate's so they won't be available!
About the flat:
It is a 2 bed ground flat, with a spacious living room and a decent size kitchen (got microwave, oven, washing machine). Bathroom with a corner shower. There's a TV in the living room with my firestick. We also have a massive garden which catches a lot of sun.
The rent is actually £287.50 per room, Council tax B, gas and electricity is on a fixed tariff of £142/month (£71 per person then), I don't have new internet contract yet as my flatmate can't cancel his contract until he moves out. Overall, monthly expense with bills is expected to be £450-£460.
There is also a cat in the flat, so the new flatmate must be fine with animals, however no other animal can move in the flat as the cat is very timid and doesn't like other cats specifically. She has a free roam around the flat, although she was not allowed in my flatmate's room unsupervised as he had some plants that are not pet friendly.
About me:
I am a working professional, and also an artist - I sometimes like to paint in the living room as the light is better there! I like to socialise and have flat dinners together, but also enjoy my own time. I do yoga, I like to bake. I'm pretty easy with my new flatmate preferences, someone who is happy to share chores, have occasional dinner together (or a wine night) and if we click, we click! Preferably not looking for a student since that would mean I'd pay 75% of the council tax.
