We have one good-sized double room going in our quiet friendly house on Colbourne Avenue and are looking for someone nice to join us.
(I’m a live-in landlord, but very easy-going and I respect my tenants privacy and space).
The house is located just 1 minute’s walk from Lewes Road, very close to the bus routes and about 5-10 minute’s walk from Moulsecoomb train station.
The rent is £850 per month including all bills and the deposit is £100. The room comes fully furnished (a solid oak frame kingsize bed, mattress, and bookshelves, nook, desk, bureau and a wardrobe).
It was recently freshly painted and a new carpet put in.
The rest of the house includes a lounge, kitchen, separate bathroom and toilet and a large garden.
Garden has a few fruit trees -apple, pear, cherry and plum, some raspberries and space for growing some veg if that's your thing.
It also has a sunny lawn and a shaded firepit area.
Parking on our road is unrestricted and free except for Amex event days, and we also have space for 1 car on a private parking bay.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, considerate and grownup about cleaning to share our 3 bedroom house with us. We are just looking for one person per room, so sorry, no couples please. We are two men and one woman in our 40s and one cat; I work freelance as a writer and my other tenants are workers.
Our cat (Lula) is a little shy of new people at first, but once she knows you aren’t going to eat her she loves to snuggle.
Ideally we would like to find someone friendly who plans to stick around for a while and wants to find somewhere they can call a home, rather than just a room.
If you’re interested please let me know a little bit about yourself and what you’re looking for, and we can arrange a time for a visit.
We are council tax band C.
