Newly decorated double room available in 3-bed house in Fiveways area of Brighton, to share with one female and Samoyed/Husky dogs.

The double room is freshly decorated and furnished with a small double bed and quality pocket sprung mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table (there is also storage under the bed as it’s an ottoman). There’s extra space for a desk or a second chest of drawers if needed. It’s a lovely warm room that gets afternoon sun, and is at the back of the house so benefits from no street lights or road noise.

There is access to a large kitchen/diner, shared living room, a bathroom with bath and shower over, and a sunny west-facing garden.

The house has double glazing and gas central heating with combi boiler (so no waiting for the water to heat up). The kitchen has all the mod-cons including a large fridge/freezer, oven, air fryer, dishwasher, washing machine, and heat-pump tumble dryer.

There is a bike rack in the front garden, free on-street parking, and a bus stop over the road. The house is ideally located within a 10 min walk to town, and a 10 min walk to the downs, with a range of supermarkets and shops within easy walking distance.

Bills included with fair use, including energy, water, council tax and 1Gb broadband.

I’m hoping to find someone easy-going, friendly and respectful to share with, where it can feel relaxed and homely. Ideally long-term for the double room (minimum 3 months), though there is also a single room available for shorter stays.

I have 8 dogs here (plus a cat), all Samoyed/Husky breed. They are friendly and used to living in the house with a routine, and are also used to having lodgers, but this is an active multi-dog home rather than a typical “pets in the background” setup.

The dogs are managed day-to-day — they don’t have free run of the house, they don’t go in the bedrooms, and only go upstairs if invited. The lounge is generally dog-free. There are gates between spaces, so it’s important to be mindful of doors/gates and the overall setup.

There is no expectation or requirement to walk or care for the dogs — they are fully my responsibility.

I’m a professional female who works online from home. I enjoy being outdoors and keep a fairly calm, low-key home environment.

The house tends to suit someone who is comfortable living alongside multiple dogs and who isn’t looking to have regular visitors or a busy social environment at home.

I have various projects and interests keeping me busy (including a horse on DIY and dog training), and I’m clean, tidy and considerate of shared space.

For downtime I usually watch something on Netflix or listen to the radio while working or cleaning.

Look forward to hearing from you.
