I’m looking for someone to sublet my room while I’m away on sabbatical and join our lovely house share. The room is big, bright and furnished, and I’m looking for someone to stay for 5-6 months from the end of October, although I’m flexible on dates.

Rent is £535 and bills come to about £100 pcm.

About you:

We’re ideally looking for a woman or gender-non-conforming person who’s after a short-term tenancy and is happy living with a cat and an international, queer household. We’re hoping to find someone kind, clean, considerate, and respectful, who enjoys a friendly and relaxed shared home.

About the housemates:

Sarah (they/she) is an occupational therapist, likes spending time in nature, doing yoga and writing.

Abbie (she/her) works for a company that organises school trips, does salsa and bachata dancing, likes travelling and languages.

Em (they/she) works for a local non-profit, enjoys sauna, nature, crafting, sober clubbing, and roller derby.

Evanne (she/her) is a neuroscience researcher and is into arts and sport. She does improv theatre and ultimate frisbee and has a cat living with us - Lara.

About the house:

We’re a queer, mostly plant-based, and pet-friendly household.

Everyone generally does their own thing, but we naturally bump into each other in the kitchen and often end up having tea, catching up or sharing food. There are also occasional organised hangs, both at home and out and about. It’s a sociable house, but there’s no pressure to be constantly hanging out.

There are five bedrooms, a kitchen, a lounge, one big bathroom, a smaller one, and a big back garden.

Location: Upper Lewes Road. A 5 minute walk from the Sainsbury's and co-op and a 10/15 minute walk to the ALDI on Lewes Road.

Very easy cycle or quick bus journey to Stanmer Park. Its a 15 walk to London Road and 20ish minutes to the Lanes or the station.
