Women/LGBTQIA+ preferred – Neurodivergent-Friendly, Disability-Positive Home with Live-In Landlord

⭐️ Looking for a female or trans woman housemate (preferably) – ⭐️

A furnished room is available from July/August (flexible move-in date) in a calm, friendly home in Roundhill with live in landlord. This would suit someone who enjoys being part of a home rather than simply renting a room as a transaction.

The house has a quiet, welcoming and community-minded and awareness of impact of capitalism on resilience and choices . It isn't a party house, but it is a home where people might share a meal, have a garden BBQ with friends, watch a film together, chat over a cup of tea. There is plenty of space for 2 people to live here - plus a garden, laundry room, and attic space for guests.

The neighbourhood is family-oriented and peaceful with many working from home, with Aldi, the Open Market, Fiveways cafés and independent shops all within easy walking distance. London Road Station is around 7 minutes away on foot, with connections to Brighton, Gatwick and London.

About me:

I'm a live-in landlord in my mid-40s. I'm neurodivergent and in recovery from burnout and enjoy cooking, nature, music, community, and spending time outdoors. The house is LGBTQIA+ friendly, neurodivergent-friendly and disability-positive & social justice minded .

I use fragrance-free laundry products, keep lighting relatively soft throughout the house, and aim to create a comfortable environment where people can relax and feel at home.

I would love to find someone who values having a sensory gentle home, communication and mutual respect.
The rent has intentionally been kept below market rate (its £550 plus bills) to help make living in Brighton more affordable and leave people with more resource for wellbeing. Unfortunately I can't offer additional discounts as the income helps cover ongoing medical expenses.

The Room

• Furnished first-floor bedroom

• Double bed

• Clothes rack

• Additional storage cupboard

• Blackout curtain

• Additional household storage available, including attic space if needed and bookshelves in living room

The House

• Large kitchen with range cooker and air fryer

• Shared living room - you will be able to use this as storage too

• Garden

• Space to grow herbs, vegetables or flowers

• Plenty of storage throughout the property

• Occasional BBQs and gatherings with friends and family welcome

## Important Information

• No full-time working from home

• One pet may be considered

• I am a meat eater and follow two medically required diets, so I am unable to provide separate kitchen spaces, cookware or food preparation areas for different dietary requirements

• This is a household where communication matters.

If you're looking for a calm, inclusive home with a sense of community, I'd love to hear from you.
