This 300 year old grade two listed historical character cottage is in Buckingham town centre conservation area close to the university, shops, entertainment, public transport and all amenities.

The house is comfortable, well equipped, fully furnished and inclusive of utility bills including council tax and fast wifi.

Please see the accompanying video which takes you on a tour.

This beautiful old house is built on a hill and has all its rooms on separate levels interconnected with steps and stairs some of which are twisted, steep and narrow.

The available room is on its own floor at the front of the house and has a large south facing window. It has a comfortable double bed, desk and chest of drawers. It still has the original fireplace and wooden floorboards from 1725 and an extra high ceiling with wooden beams. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space with built in cupboards along one wall and a
separate cupboard under the staircase.

The communal areas include a living room at the back of the house which has two sofas, a fireplace and the original wide elm floorboards. There is a dining table on one side and French windows that open onto the private lower garden on the other.

Beyond the living room lies the kitchen which has a double oven, hob, washer dryer, microwave, fridge freezer and additional fridge with icebox. There’s also a breakfast bar and plenty of storage. The kitchen has a stable door that also opens onto the lower garden.

Outside there are two separate garden areas. There is a lower garden that is completely private with two arched brick storage sheds built into the hillside. Steep steps lead up to an upper walled garden with decked seating and views over the rooftops of Buckingham. This is private, sunny and has an excellent wifi signal.

There is a shared bathroom with an iron bath and shower over, pedestal basin and toilet.

Under the house there is a dry cellar room with power and light.
There is free on street parking outside the house.

The heating and hot water is powered in demand by a new combi boiler.

This house was built in 1725 as emergency housing for families that had been made homeless in the fire of Buckingham. It is grade two listed and in the conservation area.
